The short answer is yes. In fact several of the deer scent products Wildlife Research Center® offers contain more than one scent ingredient. A couple of great examples are Trail’s End® #307® and Active-Scrape®.

Trail’s End® #307® is a complex blend of natural ingredients developed through years of extensive testing in the field, on whitetail deer. It is truly an outstanding buck lure, packed with natural deer calling ingredients, some of which are not well known, but are highly effective. This powerful attractant really brings in bucks during all parts of the season, and especially during the rut.

Active-Scrape® is a full spectrum scrape scent for use in real and mock scrapes – a blend of doe urine with estrus secretions combined with buck urine – natural and the real thing. The smell of a strange buck in his territory enrages the dominant buck, while the smell of a doe sexually arouses him.

Sometimes we recommend using a scent like Active-Scrape® in an Ultimate Scrape-Dripper® or Magnum Scrape-Dripper™ to condition a buck to visit the hunting area during daytime hunting hours. Then put another scent like Special Golden Estrus® or Trail’s End® #307® out on wicks while you are hunting to peak a bucks interest even more. It will smell like something new he has not smelled there yet, and he will want to check it out. You could also use a territorial intrusion scent like Mega-Tarsal Plus®, to really get a dominant buck worked up.
